Good morning, commuters!

We are off to a foggy start today, but the snow has abated for the time being. And temperatures have risen above freezing allowing the slop that accumulated on the mainline roads during Monday's evening rush hour a chance to melt.

That doesn't mean there won't be slick spots especially on ramps and bridge decks, so keep the speeds down.

City streets and sidewalks will be slippery so use caution as you leave your neighborhood.

At this hour, we have one accident at 17th and University Avenue SE. near the University of Minnesota. Traffic levels are light so those who head out early won't have any problems getting to work on time.

I will keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
