Help in the kitchen
If you’re as clumsy around the stove as I am, you’ll want to seek guidance from the all-star team taking calls during “Thanksgiving Live!” (11 a.m. Saturday, Food). Alton Brown, Giada DeLaurentiis and Bobby Flay are among the experts offering tips that should keep you from poisoning your holiday guests.
Black and white all over
Morgan Freeman isn’t the only one who can march with the penguins. Jane Lynch narrates “Penguins: Waddle All the Way” (8 p.m. Saturday, Discovery), a new documentary that uses spy cams disguised as life-size animals to capture intimate footage.
For “Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles” (9 p.m. Saturday, HBO), the talented comic chose a Los Angeles venue that could squeeze in only 39 guests. The small setting doesn’t keep her from getting big laughs on such subjects as pornography, religion, President Obama and the miracle of existence.
