Metro Transit will be working on portions of the Metro Blue Line from 6:30 p.m. Friday until 3:30 a.m. Monday. During that time, trains will not run between Target Field Station in downtown Minneapolis and the Franklin Avenue Station.

Buses will fill in along the route while the line is down. Signs at each of the affected rail platforms will direct passengers to bus stops. In most cases, bus stops are near the light-rail station.

Buses marked "Light Rail Shuttle" on a similar schedule as Blue Line trains but trips can take more time, so allow for that, Metro Transit says.

The Northstar Commuter line will run between Big Lake and Fridley as normal. Passengers heading to downtown Minneapolis will complete their trip by bus.

In downtown Minneapolis, buses filling in will stop at the west Park & Ride lot at the Fridley Station and the 'D Stop' at the Ramp B (Fifth Street) Transit Station south of Target Field Station.
