SEATTLE HAS BECOME WINTER PARK WEST

• Coach Pete Carroll coached Vikings defensive backs from 1985-89. His son, Nate, was born in Edina in 1987 and is now a Seahawks assistant.

• Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell was the Vikings OC from 2006-10.

• Percy Harvin was a receiver and kick returner the past four seasons for the Vikings before he was traded to Seattle for its first-round choice (25th overall) in March.

• Heath Farwell played linebacker for the Vikings from 2005-10. He signed with the Seahawks in Oct., 2011 after the Vikings waived him at the end of training camp.

• Sidney Rice was a Pro Bowl receiver for the Vikings in 2009. He signed a five-year, $41 million contract with Seattle in 2011. He is out for the year because of a torn ACL.

• Kicker Steven Hauschka was in training camp with the Vikings in 2008.

• Defensive back Antoine Winfield signed with Seattle during the offseason after playing nine of his 15 NFL seasons with the Vikings. Winfield, 36, was one of the team's final cuts and has retired.

• General Manager John Schneider is a St. Thomas grad, and assistant director of pro personnel Trent Kirchner is a former St. John's player.

• Area scout Todd Brunner is the son of former Vikings assistant coach John Brunner (1987-91).
