Whether or not funds were misappropriated by the founders of the Wildcat Sanctuary ("Support fades …," Nov. 15), the fact remains that these rescued wildcats are still dependent upon those who care for them and the sponsors who provide the funds for doing that. By withdrawing their valuable support, the wonderful "former" sponsors are harming no one but the animals they seek to help.

I have been there. It is much more than a worthy cause. To see these animals in this environment is to take your breath away.

Hopefully the law firm that uncovered any alleged misdeeds could also be instrumental in setting up a way for funds to still be provided and used in the way they were intended — pro bono of course!

Separate the two issues, but don't turn off the faucet.
