With the sun out, snow, slush and ice that formed on the roads is starting to melt, and that's helping improve conditions in the metro area.

Most major routes are running a near the posted speeds, and the flurry of crashes has slowed.

A new crash just occurred on the ramp from southbound Hwy. 100 to 50th Street in Edina. That is having a minimal impact on traffic.

Other wrecks have cleared. Do look out for a stalled vehicle on southbound 35W at County Road D. It's sitting on the left shoulder.
