Good morning, commuters!

Roads in the metro area are generally just wet, but beware of the isolated slick spots. Further to the west and north in places such as Albertville, Independence, Delano roads are in fair condition. In those locations, some slush has accumulated on the highways and county roads.

One motorist did spin out on eastbound Hwy. 36 and landed in the center median. An ambulance is on scene.

Best advice for this morning is to keep the speeds down and pack some extra patience. The good news is that roads could be a lot worse. Temperatures just above freezing have allowed a lot of the snow that fell on the roads to melt.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
