Running the "jet sweep"
The Gophers ran the "jet sweep" against Nebraska last week to get freshman wide receiver Donovahn Jones more involved in the offense. On the jet sweep, the receiver goes in motion toward the quarterback, who either hands it to the receiver, or fakes the handoff. If the quarterback fakes, he can hand it to the running back, or look to pass.
