LA CROSSE, Wis. — Two developers have offered nearly $2 million for the former Trane plant property in La Crosse.
They have plans for a retail, office and housing complex. La Crosse Area Development Corp. executive director James Hill says the developers had the best proposal from among five solicited this summer.
A partner in the proposed project, Marvin Wanders of Three Sixty Real Estate Solutions tells the La Crosse Tribune (http://bit.ly/1h04AJs ) construction is estimated at $15 million to $18 million.
Mayor Tim Kabat says the city must approve a development agreement with Three Sixty and Borton Construction, including establishing a possible tax incremental financing district.
