Shirley Jones as Nana in “Zombie Night.”
TV picks for Oct. 26-27: - "Zombie Night,” "Roseanne,” "The Governor's Wife”
- October 25, 2013 - 11:16 AM
“Roseanne” (2 a.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday, TV Land) showcases its reliable Halloween episodes, including one featuring George Clooney. The only thing scarier than these two marathons would be airing the entire disastrous final season.
Dead men walking
In “Zombie Night” (8 p.m. Saturday, Syfy) Shirley Jones, Anthony Michael Hall and Daryl Hannah venture out of near-obscurity to fight zombies that somehow escaped the hatchets of the characters on “The Walking Dead.”
Young at heart
Guess prison wasn’t all bad for former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards. During his stint for racketeering, he became pen pals with a woman 50 years younger than him. They’re both featured in the new documentary series “The Governor’s Wife” (9 p.m. Sunday, A&E). I might have wound up in similar circumstancces if former convict Martha Stewart had ever answered my letters.
