Officers found the two men inside a vehicle at 15th Street and Chicago Avenue S. about 1:40 a.m., said police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington.
Both men were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle died at the hospital, Barrington said.
The victims' names have not been released, and no one has been arrested.
