DULUTH – Sarah Davis and Dani Cameranesi each scored two goals to lead the Gophers women's hockey team to a 6-3 WCHA victory over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday at AMSOIL Arena.

It was the 55th consecutive victory for the No. 1-ranked Gophers (6-0, 4-0 WCHA), who defeated the No. 7 Bulldogs (2-3-1, 0-3-1) for the eighth consecutive time.

In a game that saw 17 minor penalties, eight Gophers recorded points, including seven multi-point efforts. Cameranesi had an assist to go with her two points, and Kelly Terry had a goal and two assists.

It was Cameranesi's first multi-goal game in her college career, and she has a point in three consecutive games.

"Things are finally coming together," Cameranesi said. "I played center in high school, so it's taken some getting used to playing wing now. We have our lines figured out now."

Davis scored both of her goals in the first period. Both of Cameranesi's goals came on power plays as the Gophers converted three of six power-play opportunities.

Kelly Terry, who had a goal and two assists, and Cameranesi scored in a 98-second span early in the third period to give the Gophers a 6-2 lead. Cameranesi assisted on Terry's goal.

Amanda Leveille made 27 saves for the Gophers. UMD's Kayla Black stopped 31 shots, while Jenna McParland had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs.
