If every morning rush hour could be like this one, we'd have nothing to complain about. Overall the drive to work was a smooth one, but we did have a few hiccups.

Commuters coming into St. Paul from Wisconsin and the eastern suburbs hit a snag for about an hour as a crash involving a semi tied up traffic at Lake Elmo Avenue for more than an hour.

The work zone in Lakeville proved problematic for commuters and those trying to get out of town as the freeway is reduced to a single lane in each direction.

Congestion was almost non-existant except in the usual spots such as southbound 35W through Shoreview. But even there it was not as severe as it normaly is.

Currently we have a couple semitrailer trucks crowding the northbound lane of I-35 at 210th Street. They were involved in a crash and that area remains tough.

Look out for all-day road work on northbound Hwy. 61 from 494 up to 94. The left lane is closed for a cable median installation project.
