Arts Guild to present suspense thriller
Just in time for Halloween, the Northfield Arts Guild is starting is 54th theater season with a psychological thriller penned by a suspense author whose credits include “Sorry, Wrong Number” and “The Hitch-Hiker.”
The 1972 play “Night Watch,” written by Lucille Fletcher, starts with a woman, awake during a thunderstorm, witnessing what she thinks is a murder in the house next door. The intrigue builds from there with a series of plot twists leading up to a final shocking revelation.
The play is directed by veteran Arts Guild director Rachel Haider and features a cast including Sydney Place-Sallstrom, Zach Vinge, Shari Setchell, Mickey Morstad, Brendon Etter, Bryanna Hanson, Charlie Black, Birch Carlson and Bob Gregerson.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and Oct. 18 and Oct. 19 and at 2 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 20 at the Arts Guild Theater, 304 Division St. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Auditions for talent show coming up
The “Eagan Has Talent” fundraiser is looking for local acts to audition for this year’s show.
Eagan community members 12 and older can audition for the talent show, which will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Eagan High School theater. Auditions are 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 12, and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the high school.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Eagan Foundation and Eagan High School’s Muse Literary Arts program. No cash prizes will be awarded; this is an exhibition event only. Tickets to the event will go on sale in mid-October.
