The Minnesota State Patrol has put out a revised report recounting the accounts of a fatal crash Oct. 4 on Hwy. 212 in Eden Prairie.

The original report said a jeep heading westbound crossed through the median and collided head-on with a Chevy Malibu just before 8 a.m. at Eden Prairie Road. The patrol has corrected its findings and said the Malibu was heading west and crossed the median and hit a Jeep heading east.

The driver of the Malibu, Robert Bartee, 62, of Eden Prairie, died in the crash. The driver of the Jeep, identified by the patrol as Joseph Tupman, 26, of Eden Prairie, was seriously injured.

A third vehicle driven by Kathleen Seck, 73, of Carver, Minn., was also struck. Seck was not injured.

Below is the original report as it appeared online and in the Star Tribune.

One person was killed and another injured Friday morning in an accident on Hwy. 212 at Eden Prairie Road in Eden Prairie.

Authorities said a westbound Jeep crossed through the grassy median just before 8 a.m. and collided head-on with a Chevy Malibu that was heading east.

The driver of the Malibu was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep was seriously injured and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, said Lt. Eric Roeske of the State Patrol.

The identities of the drivers have not been released.

The Jeep also struck another eastbound vehicle, which was driven by Kathleen Seck, 73, of Carver. She was not injured, Roeske said.

The crash occurred at the bottom of the ramp leading from Eden Prairie Road to eastbound Hwy. 212. One vehicle flipped and came to rest on its roof. A reconstruction team was called to the scene to determine how the crash happened.
