Lynx update: After an up-and-down first half, the Lynx stormed past Seattle on Friday, tying a team playoff record with 22 assists in the process. … The Lynx were 2-0 vs. Seattle on the road this season. But this will be something of a neutral court. The game was moved to Tacoma because Microsoft is using KeyArena for an annual meeting. … The Lynx were the only higher seed to win the opening game in the conference semifinal series last week. … F Rebekkah Brunson is coming off an 18-point, nine-rebound performance that included four assists. … F Maya Moore rebounded from a 1-for-9 first half Friday to score 17 points while setting career playoff bests with six assists and three steals. … The Lynx bench was productive Friday, with G Monica Wright scoring nine points and F Devereaux Peters scoring eight points.
Storm update: Seattle is now 0-5 vs. the Lynx this season. And now it has to play the second game in unfamiliar surroundings. … Tina Thompson, the first player drafted in WNBA history, will retire after this season ends. The Tacoma Dome could be the site of her final game. “I’ve never played there,” she said. “This will be a first for me. So we’ll be just as unfamiliar as they are.’’ Thompson had 10 points and eight rebounds Friday. … G Temeka Johnson’s quickness — she scored 14 points on 5-for-8 shooting Friday — has proved to be a problem for the Lynx. She and fellow guard Tanisha Wright (13 points) combined for 27 points and eight assists Friday.
