Letter of the Day (Sept. 21): Health care costs

  • September 21, 2013 - 8:09 AM

I am 28 years old and less than happy with the Affordable Care Act.

Was it my generation that refused to save for retirement and are now working way beyond the traditional retirement age (“‘Invincibles’ key to insurance overhaul,” Sept. 19)?

Was it my generation that took out bad home loans that they could not afford that crashed the economy?

Was it my generation that spent trillions on foreign wars that have yet to yield any positive results?

No, it was not.

So why are we young adults being asked to foot the bill for problems older generations created?

No one thinks of my generation, about how much of a raw deal we got graduating college in 2008 during the crash, until they want something from us.
