Here are three quick thoughts following the Twins' 12-1 loss to the White Sox:

HENDRIKS CRUSHED: Liam Hendriks didn't get out of the first inning on Monday and sounded like a broken man after the game. "Everything was terrible, just terrible.'' The coaching staff is going to talk about Hendriks and if he should make his next start. We'll see. I've never seen Hendriks that disappointed in himself before. Either you think he's crushed and can't turn it around or is ready to get off the floor and start punching back.

DE VRIES EATS INNINGS: If the Twins decide to make a change, Cole De Vries is stretched out. De Vries replaced Hendriks and pitched five innings.  Gardy credited the Eden Prairie product for saving the bullpen, but De Vries did give up four runs on three home runs - and had a blast by Jordan Danks hit high off the wall for a double. I think De Vries should get a start before the season is over. Is this his time?

FLORIMON TOSSED: Pedro Florimon didn't agree with a strike three call from Alfonso Marquez in the seventh. Florimon went out and played defense after the inning but told Marquez after the inning was over that he was going to check the replay. Marquez tossed him from the game. Florimon said he spoke to Marquez in Spanish which, I guess, is supposed to help. "I don't have to take that,'' Marquez told Gardy when the manager went to the field for an explanation.

BONUS #1: Trevor Plouffe was removed from the game after two at bats when the 55-gallon can of onslaught was dumped on them. When he steps into the batter's box Tuesday, he will be on a streak of reaching  base in six straight plate appearances.

BONUS #2: The Twins have scored zero or one run in 30 games this season. Wow......just......wow......
