CHICAGO -- The Vikings fell to 0-2 with a gut-punch 31-30 loss to the Bears on a touchdown in the final seconds.

Bears tight end Martellus Bennett caught a 16-yard touchdown pass with 10 seconds left for the game-winning score.

The Vikings defense forced four turnovers and they also had a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by rookie Cordarrelle Patterson.

With the scored tied 24-24 entering the fourth quarter, the Vikings created two takeaways in the final quarter -- an interception by safety Harrison Smith and a forced fumble and recovery by nose tackle Letroy Guion.

Christian Ponder threw a pick-six in the second quarter that gave the Bears a 21-14 lead. But Ponder made some critical plays with his feet and arm in the second half. That included a 22-yard pass to Greg Jennings on third-and-3 to the Vikings 6-yard line with less than 4 minutes remaining.

But it wasn't enough.
