  • September 13, 2013 - 10:56 PM

Dick Nicholson of St. Paul rappelled down the 22-story Ecolab headquarters during Friday’s Double Dog Dare Challenge in downtown St. Paul. The event was a fundraiser benefiting the Northern Star Council, Boy Scouts of America. For the record, the trip was 305 feet from top to bottom. Participants must collect pledges of at least $1,000 before taking to the rope. According to the challenge’s website, at least three people pulled in more than $3,000 in pledges. Also, the Corporate Commission of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe collected nearly $9,000. The overall goal of the fundraiser is $150,000.
