Work begins Monday on a new trail and boardwalk in Keller Regional Park in Maplewood, according to Ramsey County Parks officials.
The bituminous trail will run between the Hwy. 61 bridge over Keller Creek and the new Hwy. 36 bridge, where it will connect to a trailhead and parking lot on the east side of Spoon Lake.
For much of the fall, parking lots in the area may contain construction materials and machinery. Patrons will be expected to follow posted signs and observe construction barriers.
Construction is expected to be finished by Nov. 14, with boardwalk installation continuing into the winter. Native plants will be restored next year.
