What's open, closed on Labor Day

Post offices: Closed. No regular mail service.
Banks: All Bremer Banks will be closed. TCF branches inside Cub Foods are open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and traditional branches will be open until 4 p.m. Call for hours. Wells Fargo in-store and traditional branches will be closed. U.S. Bank branches in Byerly’s stores will be open 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and traditional branches will be closed.
Groceries: Major supermarkets will be open.
Malls: Most will be open. Call for hours.
Mass transit: Regular Northstar service does not operate. Metro Transit buses and the Metro Blue Line (Hiawatha) and Red Line will follow Sunday schedules. For route information, call 612-373-3333 or go to www.metrotransit.org. Minnesota Valley Transit Authority will follow Sunday schedules. Maple Grove Transit, Plymouth Metrolink and Southwest Metro Transit will have no service. Call Metro Mobility for service.
Parking meters: Won’t be enforced in Minneapolis and St. Paul. University of Minnesota will not enforce meters unless noted on the meter. Minneapolis parks will enforce meters unless noted on the meter.
Schools: Public schools and the University of Minnesota will be closed.
Public agencies: Local, state and federal offices will be closed.
Libraries: Generally closed. Call for hours.
