Point guard Alex Robinson has cut his list to six and the Gophers are not on the list.

According to Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog.com, the Texas native is now focusing only on the following schools: Memphis, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, TCU, Vanderbilt and Florida State.

The 6-1 Robinson was one of the main point guard targets for the Gophers since Ja'Quan Newton committed to Miami.

Richard Pitino and the new Gophers staff have cast a wide recruiting net since coming to Minnesota this spring, particularly with point guards, and that variance is proving necessary as floor generals fall off the board. On Saturday, Josh Perkins -- who the Gophers offered, but grew less interested in -- committed to Gonzaga.

The top point guard target currently is the lightning-quick Lourawls Nairn, who has the Gophers on a list of three that also includes Indiana and Oklahoma. Nairn has said he hopes to commit somewhere before the fall signing period.
