9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

The late-morning rush hour is crash free on the mainline roads, but congestion is still in place on a handful of routes.

Ever since the State Fair started, the drive on eastbound 394 and northbound 35W into downtown Minneapolis has remained slow well past the 9 a.m. mark.

That is true today, with 20 minutes needed on 35W from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis and about 15 minutes on 394 from General Mills Blvd. to 94.

Eastbound Crosstown drivers will feel the squeeze from Tracy Avenue over to 35W. That is 11 to 14 minutes.

Southbound I-35 is clogged from the Burnsville Split to County Road 50. That single lane work configuration will be in place until 1 p.m. Monday.

A crash on eastbound 694 at Brooklyn Blvd. has cleared out, but expect a brief delay approaching the scene and continuing through the work zone from Hwy. 252 to University Avenue.
