Authorities confirm that a police officer was involved in a shooting early Friday in Brooklyn Center.
Shots were fired around 4 a.m. at the intersection of Interstate 694 and Shingle Creek Pkwy., a dispatcher with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said.
No other details were released.
This is the second time in 24 hours that authorities have been called to the area for a shooting. On Thursday, a man was shot outside a motel on the 6400 block of James Avenue, just blocks from Friday's shooting.
