Store offers $10K reward in Milwaukee worker death

MILWAUKEE — Family Dollar is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to whoever killed a Milwaukee employee during a robbery.
Forty-four-year-old William Melendez Jr. was shot Aug. 6 while working at a Family Dollar. He died the next day.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/13F0jjm ) reports a lone gunman walked into the store and shot Melendez during the robbery.
Police have followed numerous leads, but the case remains unsolved.
Family Dollar regional vice president Paul Murray announced the reward Friday.
Anyone with information is asked to call police. Funeral services for Melendez are set for Saturday.
