Chart: Reeve's history in WNBA

Cheryl Reeve’s pro coaching career began in 2001, when she was hired as a seasonal assistant by Anne Donovan in Charlotte. Here is her pro coaching career path:

 

2001-2002

Assistant to Anne Donovan in Charlotte. The Sting went from 8-24 in 2000 to the WNBA Finals in 2001, where Charlotte lost to Los Angeles. The Sting had winning records both seasons.

2003

After Donovan left for Seattle, Reeve was hired by Dan Hughes (now the coach in San Antonio) in Cleveland. The Rockers advanced to the WNBA playoffs.

2004-05

Reeve returned to Charlotte for two seasons.

2006-2009

Assistant with the Detroit Shock. Hired by Bill Laimbeer, Reeve would eventually add general manager duties. The Shock reached the WNBA Finals in her first three seasons there, winning twice.

2010-present

Head coach, Minnesota Lynx. The team won the WNBA title in 2011, was the runner-up in 2012 and is a league-best 14-3 this season.
