CHICAGO — Lollapalooza is coming next weekend to Chicago and the city's Office of Emergency Management has put together some safety tips for concertgoers.

Between street closures near Grant Park where Lollapalooza will be held and the 100,000 or so music fans expected to attend each day of the 3-day festival that begins Friday, residents and attendees alike are encouraged to use public transportation.

Temperatures could climb into the 90s and fans are being encouraged to bring two factory-sealed water bottles while wearing loose, light colored clothing and a hat with a brim.

The OEMC says there will be complimentary cooling buses parked in the area. And the office reminds attendees that there will be blue and white signs directing them to extreme weather shelters in the event of potentially dangerous weather.
