Look for activity at 237th Avenue NE. and Hwy. 65 in Ham Lake as the State Patrol has been called to the intersection as has a reconstruction team. That often means a fatal crash.
On Thursday, authorities said one person died and four were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 181st Avenue NE. and Hwy. 65.
The word from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office is that a flatbed truck hauling a skid loader was southbound on Hwy 65 when a Pontiac Grand Prix tried to cross directly into its path onto westbound 181st Avenue The truck struck the passenger side of the Pontiac. All occupants of both vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals.
