Family activities abound at this event that pays homage to a well known fruit. Diversions include bowling, a bike race, rugby tournaments, live music, a pig roast and more. Fireworks at dusk Saturday. (Events held throughout Hopkins, Fri.-Sun. See website for details.


This St. Paul festival celebrates 30 years this summer. Highlights include art and business fairs and a home expo. Bands include Lynhurst, Knotty Pines, the Narro Vines and others. Take a tour of the water tower and see burly men in the strongman competition. Fireworks at 10:30 p.m. Fri.-Sun. (2-10:30 p.m. Fri.; 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Sat.; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sun. On Ford Pkwy. between Finn and Kenneth streets, St. Paul.
