LAST CALL: Zach Hartley of Minneapolis caught this 38-inch northern on Cedar Lake in Wright County. "I was catching largemouth bass in about 8 feet of water off a weed line, using a jig and fake minnow with 8-pound-test line. We were leaving in 10 minutes, and I thought a huge bass or walleye hit my line. I was surprised when I got this to the boat. We took photos and released it."
HAPPY ANGLER Neleh Hash, 10, of Lakefield, Minn., celebrated her first walleye, caught on a jig and minnow at the Northwest Angle of Lake of the Woods. Holding the fish was her grandpa, Jack Beardsley, also of Lakefield.
