MOORHEAD, Minn. — Moorhead police say an 87-year-old man died of "homicidal violence."
Police on Friday identified the victim as Henry Andrew Volochenko. He was found dead in his home Wednesday night.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension remains at Volochenko's home to process the crime scene.
Authorities are asking for the public's help in reporting any information connected to the killing or possible suspects.
Neighbors tell The Forum (http://bit.ly/19kG6n0 ) that Volochenko was a kind of grandfather figure in the neighborhood. They describe him as a kind man who would sometimes hire people from a nearby homeless shelter to do work for him.
No one has been arrested in the death.
