The drive along southbound 35W from Lake Drive to County Road 10 is quickly filling in. Look for a solid line of traffic and speeds between 30 and 40 miles per hour.
A reminder that Hwy. 36 is closed from Hwy. 61 to White Bear Avenue in both directions. The official detour takes drivers along 35E and I-694. There also will be non-rush hour lane closings between Century Avenue and Washington Avenue starting this week.
In the south metro, look for some slowing on northbound 35W approaching Crystal Lake Road. The reason is the single lane configuration on 35E from the split up to Cedar Avenue. So far, traffic on 35E is moving well, but it's getting busy.
