Lynx at a glance: They won their first two games by an average margin of 18.5 points. Entering Friday, Maya Moore was leading the WNBA in points per game (24.0), Lindsay Whalen was second in assists (7.0), Amber Harris was seventh in blocks (2.0) and Rebekkah Brunson was tied for ninth in rebounds (7.0). The Lynx tied franchise records for most assists in a game (30) and fewest turnovers (six) in their 20-point victory over Phoenix on Thursday. The Lynx have won their past four games vs. the Mystics, including two victories in Washington.
Mystics at a glance: The Mystics — who had a league-low five victories in 2012 — beat Tulsa on the road in their 2013 opener before losing by 10 at home to Atlanta on Sunday. They were to play Friday night at Connecticut. … This will be the second Lynx opponent this season that is playing on the back end of back-to-back games. … Entering Friday’s game, Washington guard Ivory Latta was third in the league in scoring (20.5) and sixth in assists (5.0). F/C Crystal Langhorne is averaging 15.5 points. Tayler Hill, the former Minneapolis South star taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2013 draft, is starting but scored just seven points combined in her first two games.
