Friday (Brett Favre kind of takes the fall for Green Bay mess) edition: Wha' Happened?

When we saw the headline on this morning that read, "Brett Favre: End with Pack my fault," we were intrigued. It's rare that Favre falls on a sword, particularly when it comes to something like this.

We should have known there was more to it than that. ESPN picked up on some Favre comments to a Buffalo radio station, and it turns out he only *kind of* took the fall for what went down in Green Bay.

"It's over and done with. I was at fault," Favre started out saying ... before getting to this: "I feel that both sides had a part in it. If you could go back, would I or them have done things differently? I'm sure both sides would. But you can't."

So really, Favre still blames the Packers for at least part of it. But he wants his number retired, so he's playing about as nice as he can.

"I'm honored just by the thought," he said. Obviously there was, if you want to call it, 'bad blood' or whatever. I just think that people started picking sides. And really I'm over that and have been over it."

Question: If you're a Vikings fan, do you understand this and consider that it was inevitable, or are you a little ticked that -- in his own way, of course -- Favre is getting back into the good graces of the green and gold?
