The Guthrie Theater has appointed Danielle St. Germain-Gordon as its new director of development. She fills a position that was vacated in December by Dianne Brennan, who had been lead fundraiser at the Guthrie for 15 years.

St. Germain-Gordon comes to the Twin Cities from Washington, D.C., where she spent the last two years as chief development officer for Arena Stage. Before that, she had a three-year stint at American Alliance of Museums where she was vice president for institutional advancement.

"Danielle St. Germain-Gordon brings an impressive background" to the Guthrie, said director Joe Dowling. "Her passion for the arts and her experience in working with all aspects of nonprofit funding will bring a dynamic presence to our theater in the crucial years to come."

St. Germain-Gordon, a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, starts July 15.
