Summer is the season of many joys, not the least of which is outdoor art. Tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to Edina for the city’s art fair, Minnesota’s second largest, next weekend.
The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
More than 320 artists will be featured, along with live music and food courts.
Children will be invited to “drip paint” at the Kids Art Zone on W. 50th Street.
And public transit will make it easy to get around. Metro Transit will provide a free shuttle running from the northeast corner of the Southdale Mall at W. 66th Street and York Avenue to the fair and back. The shuttle will operate from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. all weekend long. Also this year, for the first time, Metro Transit will offer free rides to the event (that is, rides terminating at 50th and France) Saturday and Sunday.
The fair is hosted by the 50th and France Professional and Business Association.
