Investigators are asking for the public's help in solving three arson cases in 21 days in the McKinley neighborhood of north Minneapolis.

The most recent started a garage on fire Tuesday near dusk. That came about 18 hours after a fire around 3 a.m. that was set at the rear of a single-family home at 3235 Bryant Av. N., police said in appealing for tips. The first fire was set to a garage at 3350 Aldrich Av. N. on April 24.

Investigators said that another garage fire at 3311 Bryant Av. N. remains unsolved from November.

Damage estimates were not immediately available.

All of the fires for which police reported addresses are within three blocks of each other. The relatively compact McKinley neighborhood is bounded by Dupont, Lowry and Dowling avenues and N. 3rd St.

Police asked people with information on the fires to call Sgt. Sean McKenna at 612-673-3389 or the arson hot line at 1-800-723-2020.
