The rush hour has been anything but for most motorists who found themselves stuck in traffic. Many still are.
Crosstown is still sluggish in both directions between Hwy. 169 and 28th Avenue. Some westbound drivers said it took 30 minutes from Hiawatha Avenue to 35W
I-94 continues to struggle. Westbound is packed from downtown St. Paul over to the Lowry Hill Tunnel. A crash in the center lane at Huron Blvd. had cleared, but things are still packed form Hiawatha Avenue to the tunnel.
One lane is still closed at the tunnel to allow crews to make emergency wall repairs after a semi plowed through the concrete median earlier this morning.
Westbound Hwy. 36 is still tough from Hwy. 61 over to 35W. That is 18 minutes.
Southbound 35E is heavy from Hwy. 36 to 94. That is 12 to 15 minutes.
The biggest delays are on southbound 94 from 42nd Avenue. Traffic is being rerouted onto the Hennepin/Lyndale Avenue and 394 exit because crews are still cleaning up the earlier crash at the Lowry Hill Tunnel.
