Authorities searching the Mississippi River for one man seen jumping from a downtown Minneapolis bridge found the body of another Tuesday morning, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

The body was found by searchers from the Sheriff's Office about 8 a.m. near the Washington Avenue Bridge, spokeswoman Lisa Kiava said.

The body was "recovered from the Mississippi River during the search for another adult male," Kiava said in a statement. The search continues for the other man, she said.

Kiava said that authorities were able to determine that the man they found is not the person who leapt from the bridge becasue of "the witness description along with information gathered during the investigation."

Details about the found man's identity were pending from the county medical examiner's office.
