Suspicious vehicle. Someone reported a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting on the road for more than 20 minutes at Bechtold Road and Oakdale Drive. An officer found the vehicle; a rug was wrapped around a rear tire, and the driver was unable to move the vehicle. A friend assisted in removing the rug.

APRIL 2

Theft. Sunglasses valued at $625 were stolen from Louis Vuitton in the Galleria.

Theft. A 14-year-old boy was arrested for stealing clothing from J.C. Penney in Southdale.

APRIL 3

Theft. Numerous items were stolen from several vehicles parked in an underground garage on the 7100 block of Cahill Road.

APRIL 5

Theft. A Bobcat and trailer valued at $17,000 were stolen from a lot on the 7000 block of Amundson Avenue.

Theft. A 20-year-old Robbinsdale woman and a 28-year-old Minneapolis woman were arrested for stealing $9.58 worth of merchandise from Cub Foods at 6775 York Av. S.

APRIL 6

Theft. Several vehicles were broke into and numerous items were stolen from them while they were parked in an underground garage on the 7200 block of York Avenue S.

MARCH 5

Drunken driving. A 32-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after an officer observed her vehicle stuck in heavy snow off Hwy. 7.

Suspicious activity. A woman called police to report that someone was shining a flashlight in the window at her home on the 7800 block of Turner Road. While officers were on the way, she called back to say it was just ­lightning.

Check welfare. Officers responded to a home on the 1500 block of Wyman Ave­nue regarding a missing 79-year-old man who had left the home and not returned. Officers were told he was always back by 11 p.m. The man was located at a bar on Hamel Road. He was sober and planned to come home at 1 a.m.

Accident. A 51-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for hypothermia after she was found lying in a ditch at 10:14 p.m. on Hwy. 12 and County Road 29. She had driven her motorized wheelchair into the ditch, which was steep and watery, and was trapped. She had been there for an hour before she was found.

RICHFIELD

APRIL 4

Theft. An 18-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for possession of stolen property after an officer stopped a stolen vehicle on 77th Street E. and Portland Avenue S.

APRIL 5

Drugs. A 29-year-old Richfield female, a 30-year-old Richfield man and a 29-year-old Burnsville man were arrested for possession of a controlled substance at an apartment on the 6700 block of Penn Avenue S. Officers were responding to a domestic case and found narcotics in the apartment.

APRIL 8

Disorderly conduct. An intoxicated 50-year-old Minneapolis man was cited for disorderly conduct after he was found trying to enter his ex-girlfriend's apartment on the 7200 block of Portland Avenue.

APRIL 10

Burglary. Electronic items and a purse were stolen from an unlocked home on the 7000 block of Washburn Avenue S.

Theft. Someone stole $220 from a locked desk drawer in an office on the 6600 block of Lyndale Avenue S. The key was located in an adjacent drawer.
