Drivers in the southeast metro are escaping the headaches most other drivers are experiencing. That is because the precip lighter and is falling as more rain than snow.
In the metro, travel times are three times a long as normal. Buses are running late 57 percent of the time with delays averaging 12 minutes.
Trains are on time.
It's a parking lot on westbound 494 from Hwy. 5 to Hwy. 169. Plan on up to 1 hour there. Ahead, there is very little movement from Valley View Road to Bass Lake Road.
I-694 is packed in both directions from Hwy. 252 to 35E. It's also packed approaching Boone Avenue heading west.
Northbound 35W is inching along from Hennepin Avenue all the way out to Hwy. 10 in Mounds View.
Westbound 394 is jammed from downtown out to Hwy. 169.
I-94 between the downtowns in both directions is barely moving. Plan on 55 minutes there.
