The St. Cloud State baseball team moved up four spots in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's Division II national rankings this week to No. 4. The Huskies are 17-2 overall and 6-0 in the NSIC.

They swept the University of Crookston 7-1 and 10-0 in a doubleheader completed by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Metrodome.

The Huskies are the only area team in the top 25, but Minnesota State Mankato (17-6) is first among "others receiving votes" with 21 points.

SDSU-Gophers ballgame postponed

South Dakota State has postponed its baseball home opener against the Gophers on Wednesday afternoon in Brookings, S.D., because of unfavorable playing conditions at Erv Huether Field. No makeup date has been announced.
