The theme of the Macy’s/Bachman’s 2013 flower show is “The Painted Garden,” featuring the vibrant colors of the Middle Asian region, especially India.

“The Painted Garden” is the theme for this year’s explosion of colors and textures in the eighth-floor auditorium. Features a Bouquet of the Day by top designers, displays of tropical gardens and more. The floral wonderland is inspired by the Middle Asian region, most notably India. The gardens feature jewel tones and spice market colors as well as a 10-foot-tall painted elephant. (Open during store hours. Free. Macy’s Minneapolis, 700 Nicollet Mall, Mpls. 612-375-2200.)
