Three postgame thoughts after the Twins' 9-5 win over Baltimore:

1. LIAM HENDRIKS: The Twins better hope that Liam Hendriks' hand won't become an issue. Hendriks was struck on his pitching hand by a line drive on Tuesday. While he was pleased to have full range of motion, he was going to ice it all night to try to keep the swelling down. He'll have to throw in the bullpen before the Twins know for sure that he's fine. If not, we might not have seen the last of P.J. Walters, who was reassigned to the minor league camp on Tuesday but might be needed to make that spot start on April 7.

2. SANOAPALOOZA: Miguel Sano was back for another day with the big leaguers. He was 1-for-5 with a run scored and a RBI. He didn't see much action at third base, but did try to catch a foul pop up that blew away from him for a no play. That probably will be it for Sano this camp, as far as major league looks go. But the Twins will get a look at another top prospect on Wednesday when outfielder Byron Buxton joins them for the road trip to Bradenton.

3. TOMMORROW: Watch out tomorrow for an announcement concerning the Twins starting rotation. Vance Worley is scheduled to start and, if all goes well, expect him to be named the Opening Day starter. The Twins' choices were limited here. Teams map out the preseason schedule as early as possible. Unless something serious happens along the way, most teams have an idea of who they want to start on Opening Day when they report to camp. Scott Diamond would have been the choice if healthy. Now if Worley gets hit hard tomorrow the Twins might change things, but they've had Worley lined up to pitch Opening Day for several weeks. That was their plan all along.
