Preview: The Wolves are coming off a 31-point win in Phoenix, the team’s biggest margin of victory of the season and the second-biggest road triumph in franchise history. The Wolves will try to win consecutive games for the first time since a four-game winning streak in mid-December. Chicago entered its game with Indiana on Saturday having lost two in a row and four of five.
Players to watch: In his fourth game back from a calf injury, Wolves F Andrei Kirilenko scored 20 points in Phoenix on 6-for-10 shooting with seven rebounds. G Ricky Rubio had 12 points, eight assists, six rebounds and five steals. C Greg Stiemsma has nine blocks in his past six games. Bulls F Joakim Noah has had 10 or more rebounds in eight of 10 games before Saturday, a stretch in which he shot 59.7 percent and averaged three blocks per game. F Luol Deng leads the Bulls in scoring (16.1). F Carlos Boozer averages 15.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
Numbers: Seven players scored in double figures for the Wolves on Friday. Minnesota has won its past two home games and three of its last four. Rubio has 16 steals in his past six games. Wolves forwards Chase Budinger and Dante Cunningham were both a plus-22 against Phoenix. The Wolves hit on three of 31 three-point attempts the past two games and on nine of 55 on the three-game road trip.
Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (knee surgery), G Malcolm Lee (hip and knee surgery) and G Brandon Roy (right knee) are out. Bulls G Derrick Rose (knee) is out. G Richard Hamilton (back) had missed 10 games entering Saturday’s contest with Indiana. Both G Kirk Hinrich (foot) and F/C Taj Gibson (knee) returned to action Thursday.
