Rep.Dan Schoen, D-St. Paul Park, fed an apple chunk to a Slow Loris from Southeast Asia during Zoo Day.  On right is Kevin Weir, zoomobile supervisor. The Minnesota Zoo visits the State Capitol each year to connect legislators and their staffs to some of the animals and to educate folks to the mission of the zoo.

A zoo volunteer showed off a Solomon Island Skink in the Capitol Rotunda.  He came with his own skink stick.

A Slow Loris from Southeast Asia crawled slowly around its perch during Zoo Day as legislators and visotors fed her apple chunks.

Alex Kopel and Hanna Terwilliger, interns in the Governor's office, watched as a Slow Loris from Southeast Asia crawled slowly around its perch during Zoo Day.

Visitors got to see a three-banded armadillo from Brazil during zoo day.
