A Minnetonka mom admits being out all night drinking and then driving home drunk to find the cops there with her 6-year-old son, who told a neighbor that "Mommy was gone," according to charges filed against her.

Jillian R. Neimeyer, 26, has been charged by summons in Hennepin County District Court with gross-misdemeanor child neglect and misdemeanor drunken driving.

A preliminary breath test measured Neimeyer's blood alcohol content on the morning of Dec. 1 at 0.111 percent, above the legal limit of 0.08 for driving in Minnesota, police said. A blood draw less than an hour later came back at 0.08 percent, the criminal complaint read.

Neimeyer was not immediately available to comment on her case.

According to police:

Police were called shortly before 8 a.m. to the apartment complex at 19000 Stratford Road by a resident who said a 6-year-old boy came to her apartment and said, "Mommy was gone."

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., Neimeyer drove into the apartment complex parking lot. As she walked in the hall toward her apartment, officers detected "a very strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath."

Neimeyer acknowledged to police that she had left her son home alone in the apartment until her return, adding that she had been drinking at a friend's house.

She was taken to jail, and her son was taken to the St. Joseph's Home for Children in Minneapolis.

Neimeyer's criminal history in Minnesota includes convictions for drunken driving in 2006 and for disorderly conduct in 2011. She was on probation from the 2011 case at the time of her arrest in December.
