During the scoreless streak, the Gophers have five shutouts from senior Noora Raty and one from freshman Amanda Leveille. ... Amanda Kessel’s two linemates are both freshmen, but they’ve put up some big numbers, too. Hannah Brandt has 30 goals and 49 assists, and Maryanne Menefee has 16 goals and 19 assists.

North Dakota at a glance: Gophers coach Brad Frost said North Dakota would be a legitimate No. 4 or No. 5 seed in the eight-team NCAA field, but in the quarterfinals teams are pitted regionally to avoid air travel. Minnesota is 5-0 against North Dakota this year, including a 2-0 victory in last Saturday’s WCHA playoff championship game. The Gophers also defeated North Dakota 5-1 in last year’s NCAA quarterfinals. Jocelyne Lamoureux leads North Dakota with 35 goals and 46 assists, and sister Monique Lamoureux has 26 goals and 39 assists.
