After loss, St. Cloud State shares title

• WISCONSIN 3, ST. CLOUD STATE 2: Michael's Mersch's second goal of the game — and 22nd of the season — with 1 minute, 13 seconds to play gave the Badgers (17-12-7, 13-8-7) a 3-1 lead and proved to be the game-winner. The Huskies (21-14-1, 18-9-1) got within one on defenseman Andrew Prochno's second goal of the game with 33 seconds left, but could not tie the score. The loss means that SCSU will share the MacNaughton Cup, which goes to the regular-season champion, with the Gophers.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 2, NORTH DAKOTA 1 (OT): With a victory, UND (19-10-7, 14-7-7) also could have had a share of the MacNaughton Cup. But the Mavericks (22-11-3, 16-11-1) got a series split when Brett Knowles scored at 3:22 of overtime. MSU freshman goalie Stephon Williams stopped 30 shots, the only goal he gave up was 63 seconds into the game when Danny Kristo scored.

• COLORADO COLLEGE 4, MICHIGAN TECH 3: Joe Howe stopped 46 shots to help the Tigers (14-17-5, 11-13-4) get a road victory. Cody Bradley had a goal and an assist for CC as did Alex Petan for the Huskies (12-18-4, 8-16-4).

• MINNESOTA DULUTH 6, Y, NEBRASKA OMAHA 0: Joe Basaraba scored twice as UMD (14-17-5, 10-13-5) routed the visiting Mavericks (18-16-2, 14-12-2).
